About P 1M worth of shabu seized in raid near palace

About one million pesos worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday.

This was in a raid conducted in a building in San Miguel, Manila.

The area is near Solano gate of Malacanang palace.

The shabu were reportedly contained in six (6) plastic containers.

Arrested during the operation was a certain Diana Yu Uy.

PDEA says she is the daughter of Yu Yuk Lai, a 72-year-old Taiwanese detained at the Correctional Institute for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City who was considered a "drug queen" by authorities. 

Yu Yuk Lai had been languishing in jail for 19 years.
