DDB chair Dionisio Santiago resigns

Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Chairman Dionisio Santiago has resigned.

This is upon the order of President Duterte.

Santiago filed his irrevocable resignation yesterday after the Chief Executive's order was relayed to him by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.

Duterte did not like the statement of Santiago who had said the mega drug rehabilitation facility in Nueva Ecija was a mistake.

Prior to this, Santiago submitted to President Duterte a strategy to fight the proliferation of illegal drugs.

Santiago was appointed to DDB last June.
