ABS-CBN programs, content honored at the 39th CMMA

The Kapamilya network picked up 12 honors, including Best Drama Series Program and Best News Commentary, at the 39th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA). 

The now defunct but top-rater afternoon family drama The Greatest Love was named Best Drama Series Program.

Meanwhile Failon Ngayon sa DZMM with Ted Failon was hailed as Best News Commentary.

Other Kapamilya winning programs included Home Sweetie Home (Best Comedy Program), ASAP (Best Entertainment Show), Oyayi (Best Children and Youth Program), and Pluma (Best Religious Program). 

ABS-CBN songs, music videos, and station ID were also honored, including “Ikaw ang Sunshine Ko” (Best Secular Song), ABS-CBN Palawan Christmas Station ID 2016 (Best Station ID), “Together We Thrive” by Piolo Pascual (Best Music Video and Best Inspirational Song), and Halalan Prayer (Best TV AD-Public Service). 

Since 1978, the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) has honored media programs and other content that spread genuine Christian values.
